Centennial High School (Bakersfield, CA)

Sufiya Manju and Aliza Camacho

Sufiya is currently a senior at Centennial High School and is passionate about community service. She participates in numerous clubs on campus including DreamCatchers, Interact Club, Key Club, and Random Acts of Kindness. Sufiya started her journey with DreamCatchers her freshman year and took on the role of Vice President her junior year.  She has a passion for helping others and giving back, and wants to make a difference in her own community and the world as a whole.

Aliza, also a senior at Centennial High School, first got involved in DreamCatchers because she heard about its mission after her mother went through hospice care. She also volunteers for the Houchin Community Blood Bank, Ronald McDonald House, and more recently, the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center. Outside of school, Aliza enjoys meeting new people, traveling, baking, playing tennis, and serving the community in various capacities.

“I enjoy volunteering for DreamCatchers most of all because I am able to see the positive difference I am making in others’ lives. I hope that in my future I can pursue helping and serving those in need and appreciate my time with DreamCatchers.”- Aliza

“I am privileged to be apart of such a wonderful club and organization that holds so much meaning and is making the world a better place one dream at a time.” – Sufiya
